The Roxbury Land Trust (RLT) is seeking a part-time Office Assistant / Bookkeeper to provide administrative and financial support across a variety of responsibilities. This position plays an important role in supporting operations, board of directors, volunteers, members, and guests who visit or contact the RLT office.
Responsibilities:
- General office support and administrative assistance
- Financial record-keeping using QuickBooks Online
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations and tracking transactions
- Assisting with membership correspondence, database management, and filing
- Providing logistical support for board meetings and special events
- Offering friendly, professional assistance to visitors, members, and donors
- Organizing and scanning paper files to digital system
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online is essential
- Experience with general bookkeeping tasks: A/P, A/R, and bank reconciliation
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience with a non-profit passion for land conservation and the mission of RLT is preferred but not required.
Details:
- Part-time, on-site position (flexible hours; approximately 15–20 hours/week)
- Occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings or events
- Reports to the Executive Director
