The Bridgewater Land Trust and the Roxbury Land Trust are co-sponsoring a “Farm Crawl” on Saturday, June 13 from 12:30 to 4:30 pm to celebrate their farming communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit seven local farms, talk to the farmers about their operation and experience a special feature at each stop. After the farm visits, participants are invited to the Mine Hill Distillery in Roxbury to enjoy drinks, soft drinks and camaraderie.
Participants will visit four farms in Roxbury: Riverbank Farm, Maple Bank Farm, Toplands Farm and Ox Hollow Farm, which operates in part on Good Hill Farm Preserve owned by the Roxbury Land Trust. In Bridgewater, the tour includes Sunny Meadow, Maywood and the Stuart Family Farm.
After the farm tours, keep the day going with a relaxing social gathering at the Crooked Rail at Mine Hill Distillery. This post-tour event is sponsored by The Farmer’s Table, a local nonprofit dedicated to sustaining and supporting farming in our community.
Tickets, which are limited, are $25 each and free for children under age 12.
